Click-Through Rate (CTR)

Click-Through Rate, or CTR, tells you what percentage of people who saw your ad actually clicked on it. The formula is simple: CTR = (Number of Clicks / Number of Impressions) x 100%. For example, if 100 people saw your ad and 10 clicked on it, your CTR is 10%. If only 5 clicked, it drops to 5%.

CTR is one of the best ways to measure how effective your ad or content is. A high CTR means your message is resonating with your audience — it's relevant and compelling enough to make them take action. As a benchmark, if your Google Search Ads CTR falls below 1% or your Facebook Ads CTR drops below 0.5%, it's a clear sign you need to rework your ad copy, targeting, or creative.
