Positioning strategies include price-based (cheapest), quality-based (best), convenience-based (easiest), or niche-based (for a specific group).

Walmart positions as 'lowest prices,' Apple as 'premium innovation,' and Southwest Airlines as 'affordable friendly flying.' All are successful but occupy completely different positions. The key is choosing a position you can authentically own and consistently deliver.
